
Home side Madi-11 has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 24th Madi Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament here. In the second quarter-final held on Sunday, Madi defeated Countryside Academy, Bhaktapur 1-0 ans entered the final four.
The only goal scored by Abhishek Mahato was decisive in Madi's victory.
The decisive scorer Mahato was chosen as the man of the match. He received 5,000 cash and a trophy as an award.
Madi will play against KBA Global Bharatpur FC in the semi-finals on Magh 11.
The third quarter-final match on Monday, Magh 8, will be played between Chitlang FC, Kathmandu and Hetouda Football Academy, Makwanpur.
The winners of the tournament organized by Basantapur United Club, Chitwan will receive a cash prize of three lakhs along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 150,000. The final match will be held on the 14th of Magh.
