Yam Gurung Appointed U-20 Women's National Team Head Coach

Kathmandu (GoalNepal) - Yam Gurung has been appointed as the head coach of the Nepal U-20 Women's National Team ahead of the SAFF U-20 Women's Championship. ANFA made the announcement of the head coach in the early hours of Saturday.

Along with Gurung, Sandesh Shrestha has been appointed as the assistant coach of the side, while Sri Prakash Baidhya will serve as the goalkeeping coach of the team. Indu Duwal has been given the responsibility of being the Team Manager for the championship.

The tournament is starting from February 3-13 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nepal, India and Bhutan alongside hosts Bangladesh will compete in the tournament. Nepal will kick their campaign off by facing hosts Bangladesh in the second match of the opening day.

India and Bhutan will open proceedings going head-to-head in the opening match of the tournament. The top two teams at the end of the round-robin stage will face each other for the title.
