Maldives U20 Coach: Nepal Were Better Than Us

Maldives U20 coach Ahmed Shakir said Nepal were better than them.

Nepal handed 0-4 defeat to them in the opener of SAFF U20 championship played at Kalinga stadium on Monday.

"Nepal U20 was much better today.  Goal margin is little bit higher but We have to accept the result.

"It was not our day.  Nepal were better than us. We have to improve in defense and midfield line in our coming mathes.  In today's match, we got two to three open chances but we couldn’t convert them", said Shakir after the match.

Nepal will play its second match against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

Five SAARC nations are taking part in the event sans Pakistan and Bhutan.
