News Avenir FC Defeats Nepal National Team In A Friendly

Avenir FC, Cameroon have defeated Nepal 2-1 in a friendly played at the Dasharath Stadium today. In the fourth friendly played between the sides in recent times, Avenir came out victorious for the first time. 

Avenir FC scored two goals in the first half of the match. Manish Dangi pulled one back for Nepal in the second half but Nepal couldn't score further and suffered defeat.

In the previous three matches between the teams, two had ended goalless while in the third, Nepal defeated Avenir 4-1.

The national team is currently in closed camp preparing for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. Nepal has been placed in Group A of the qualifiers alongside Jordan, Kuwait, and Indonesia. Nepal's first match is against Jordan on June 8, followed by a match against Kuwait on June 11. On June 14, Nepal will face Indonesia in the final group match.

Kuwait will host all of the matches in Group A. The top-placed teams in each group and the five best runners-up will qualify for the Asian Cup whose hosts are yet to be announced after China pulled out of the hosting rights.
