APF Football Club have entered the final of the first National Chief Minister's BYC Women's Gold Cup with an exciting victory. In the first semi-final on Wednesday, APF defeated another departmental team Tribhuvan Army Football Club 3-2 to move closer to the title.

Saru Limbu scored two consecutive goals for APF in the 23rd and 44th minutes of the match played at Dhangadhi Stadium. Similarly, Sabitra Bhandari scored the third goal for APF in the 71st minute of the second half.

Meanwhile, the Army continued its efforts to return to the game. Sapana Lama scored the first goal for Army in the 87th minute and Hema Chaudhary scored the second goal in the second minute of stoppage time. However, they could not save the team from defeat.

APF's Saru Limbu, who scored two goals in the game, was declared the player of the match. She received a trophy along with Rs 5,000 in cash. The second semi-final of the competition will be played between Vandevi Youth Club, Kailali and Nepal Police Club on Thursday.

The winners of the tournament organized by Bandevi Youth Club, Kailali and promoted by Far Western Sports Council will get 5,00,000 rupees including the title and the runners-up will get 2,50,000 rupees.
