China came back from two goals behind to win 3-2 against the Korea Republic and lift the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2022. This is their record-extending ninth continental title. Goals from Tang Jiali, Zhang Linyan and Xiao Yuyi - who netted the winner deep into added time to sealed her side the title at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, India.

Choe Yu-Ri gave Korea the lead in the 27th minute of the match through a Lee Geum-min cross. Korea Republic were awarded a penalty for Yao Lingwei's handball following a VAR review, and Ji So-yun converted to give a 2-0 lead to the Koreans.

But the second half belonged to China. China PR, on the other hand, was given a lifeline when a penalty was awarded for Lee Young-Ju handball, and Tang Jiali pulled one back from the spot in the 68th minute. China PR, spurred by the score, took control of the game and drew level four minutes later, owing to some sloppy defending by the Korea Republic. Tang created the equalizer after outrunning two Korea Republic players and sending a wonderful cross into the six-yard box for an unguarded Zhang Linyan to nod home.

In extra time, China PR stunned the Korea Republic when Xiao Yuyi astonishingly finished off Wang Shanshan's pass, securing a record-extending ninth title.
