Machhindra FC will represent Nepal in AFC Cup qualifiers.
Machhindra FC defeated Nepal Police Club 1-0 in 7th round match played at Dasharath stadium on Sunday evening.
Sunil Bal scored the match winner through header in 21st minute, utilizing a free kick taken by Bishal Rai.
The win for White Lions means they are atop with 17 points from seven matches in the league standing.
The agreement was made before among the clubs that the top team after seven rounds will be eligible to compete in the qualifiers.
Such decision was made because Nepal had to meet registration deadline set by AFC.
AFC will later announce the date for the qualifiers.
